KMC’s specifications for their clamps have been developed over many years in cooperation with many users. A large number of companies have adopted them as their own standards. We believe they are used by more organizations than any other specifications.

We are often asked about proper clip and clamp selection from the many types available from KMC Stampings. The following descriptions are intended as a guide in your choice of the proper type for your application. The terms “Clip” and “Clamp” are used interchangeably.

Series COV-CO KMC’s most popular clamp for holding wiring and tubes. Furnished open to allow the clip to be snapped over wiring or tube, then closed with the bolt at assembly. Contoured to minimize distortion during clamping. • Round top hole, slotted lower hole for easy alignment • HD galvanized steel, G90 treated - ASTM A653/A653M • .187" - 4" clamping diameter Series COL Extruded EPDM cushion for added protection and durability. Stainless steel available, as well as neoprene or silicone cushions. Offset in lower leg (through 2.75" clamping diameter) to allow flush surface mount. • Round top hole, slotted lower hole for easy alignment • HD galvanized or stainless steel • .187" - 4" clamping diameter Series CFV-CF Flared edges around clamping loop help prevent wire or tube abrasion. Furnished open to allow the clip to be snapped over wiring or tube, then closed with the bolt at assembly. Clip can be pinched shut with screwdriver blade or pliers. • HD galvanized steel, G90 treated per ASTM A653/A653M • .125" - 1" clamping diameter Series FC Spring steel clip holds wires to structures such as truck or trailer frames; snap mount. Series SC Saddle clamp anchors steel or aluminum grating; bolt mounted. Series SW/MW/BW Hold push/pull control cable to tubing, usually on outdoor power equipment; snap mount. Series CE Locks onto wire casing; bolt mounted. Series PF Flat-bottom core hole plugs.
